Goals/Program of Work
Membership: (Steve Lund)
- Net increase of at least five new members at 6/30/08 (vs. 6/30/07)
- Continue to promote younger members to our Club
- Increase diversity by increased representation of minorities and females
- Initiate committee on membership development and retention
- Develop and implement a specific retention plan
- Continue high quality new member orientation plan
- Quarterly Fireside Chats – minimum of one for new members
- Initiate Club mentor Program (4 Mentors @ 4 new members each)
Service Committees:
Club Service: (John Smith)
- Continue high quality club programs with more member involvement
- Arrange for alternative sites on “Dark Days” @ SVCC
- Arrange two joint meetings with other locals clubs
- Promote and organize Holiday Party
- Promote and organize two Family of Rotary events
- Achieve increased participation by members in Club Service projects
- Promote and organize the Club’s golf tournament.
- Arrange for a “Niner” greeter at all Club meetings
- Organize and promote Club social events such as: Softball; Ski Race; River Cats game; Monarch’s game; and Cigars and Cards
Community Service: (Bridget Halvorson)
- Achieve increase participation by members in community service projects
- Initiate two new Club Service projects that benefit our local community
- Continue the excellent “Miles of Smiles” program
- Organize and promote the Home Start Holiday Party and Easter Egg Hunt
- Coordinate dictionary project for local 3rd graders
International Service: (Michael Dockery)
- Select new international project and provide matching funding via RI grant
- Assist Ruth Burgess in obtaining a GSE team
- Assist Fred Croy on Polio Plus requirements
- Identify outgoing RYE student candidate
Vocational Service: (Russell Trumm)
- Coordinate with Club Service for off-site vocational meetings on “Dark Days” at SVCC
- Select and coordinate programs for Teacher/Fire/Police awards of the month
- Identify and work with Club Service to deliver four member vocation speakers
Youth Service: (Brian Gladden)
- Support Interact and increase interaction between clubs
- Increase Club participation in Interact activities
- Organize and execute RYLA participation in their camp
- Increase participation in RYLA conference
- Organize and encourage Club participation in Oakmont Girl’s BB Tournament
- Organize a program recognizing Scout Troop and Eagle Scouts accomplishments
- Help to coordinate High School scholarship program
- Assist with High School speech contest
Foundations: (Fred Croy)
International Foundation:
- Achieve District 5180 goal of $200/member giving for International Foundation
Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation:
- Increase funding to Charitable Giving Committee to $25,000
- Raise $60,000 for charitable giving
Public Relations: (Drisha Leggitt)
- Form public relations committee to ensure continuing high quality press coverage for Club events with maximum efficiency.
- Provide “Story Board” for District 5180 conference in SLT
- Have committee attend District 5180 public relations seminar
Administration: (Bernhard / DeLacy / Fong / Mecey / Jensen)
- Have at least twelve members attend District 5180 conference in 5/08
- Continue to maintain accurate member database and attendance records
- Make prompt payment of member dues to RI & District 5180
- Review and implement revisions to the “Hub Bub” newsletter
- Work to implement new Club Leadership plan for 2008-09 year
- Update Club History for Steve Lund’s term
- Initiate Club web-site training program for members (Webb)
